Who doesn’t love a meal that’s good, fast, and cheap? Thinkgrill in Union has a great menu that meets all three criteria. The chicken gyro and lamb souvlaki pita sandwiches are fabulous. There are also plenty choices on the kids menu. If you can’t get to Mamouns Falafel in Greenwich Village, be thankful for this treasure on Morris Ave.

Interesting piece in the Sunday New York Times Real Estate section about historic mansions for sale in Summit, NJ. The original details of these homes are just not seen today. There is a particular mansion that I’ve shown several times, some call it a villa, I call it castle-like, home in Montclair that if restored and renovated to it’s full glory, it would be the most magnificent home in Montclair.

The South Orange/Maplewood Board of Ed finalized the 2011-12 school calendar at Monday’s board meeting. The revised calendar provides three days for inclement weather. In addition, February will see a four-day weekend, from Friday, February 17 through Monday, February 20, Presidents’ Day.

Memorial Day 12th Annual Duck Race in Maplewood takes place Monday, May 30th at 11am. All  proceeds go towards local children’s charities and organizations. Tickets are $5.00 each and can be purchased at The Maplewood Stationers at 171 Maplewood Avenue prior to race day, and at the race site on Memorial Day.
